If you have an after hours emergency, call our office at 519.683.4484 or 1.888.736.4705 toll free and our answering service will direct you to an emergency number. You will be advised what to do or, if applicable, have an adjuster assigned.

        Important!    

DO NOT report a claim by email.
You must follow the procedures outlined in the following section to ensure your claim will be reported properly.

        How Do I Make A Claim Under My Insurance Policy?    

  • Call the office as soon as possible after you suffer a loss.
  • You MUST take all reasonable steps to prevent any further loss from occurring.
  • Advise the police and make a written report for theft, auto accident, vandalism, etc.
  • If practicable, keep the property that is damaged so that it can be inspected.
  • Tell us about any charges laid against you or other persons.
  • Send us any document(s) relating to your claim as soon as possible.
  • Make an inventory of all items damaged or stolen together with a cost for each item.
  • Do not repair or replace any damaged property without our consent unless it is an emergency to mitigate your loss.
  • Do not pay, promise to pay, offer payment, or admit responsibility for a potential liability claim.
  • Report any injuries sustained related to your claim to the office within 5 days of the claim occurring.
  • Obtain the names, addresses, telephone numbers of any witnesses.

        Other Responsibilities    

NOTE: It is very important to notify your agent of all drivers of your vehicle(s) and in your household, and any changes in licensing status (G1, G2, G), regardless of the driver's age.

Other reasons to contact your agent to ensure proper coverage include:

  • other drivers in your household
  • change in use of vehicle
  • if you install a wood burning device
  • additions to your home or outbuildings
  • change in heating system
  • significant purchases
